Rock and Road Blues

They weren’t lying when they said flash floods.

I stood and watched the deluge.

I was quite semi-horrified to find – when it was over – that the driveway was blocked with rocks that had floated down the inclined road from a rock garden up the street. Rocks were everywhere. Big rocks. Little rocks. Medium-sized rocks. Fat rocks. Sissy Rocks. Even rocks with chicken pox.

I spent about an hour sweeping and shoveling that crap out of the road. Well…some of it. There are still rocks in the road.

Everyone else in the neighborhood was too busy or too old to help.
